His Excellency Dr. Mishaal Ahmed Al Shaheen Al Rubaie

His Excellency Dr. Mishaal Ahmed Al Shaheen Alrubaie was appointed in 2021 as Director General for the Youth Public Authority (YPA). In this role, he also served on the Board of Directors of YPA. In 2021, the GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports appointed him as the Chairman of the GCC Youth Strategy Governance Committee. He is also a member of several boards and high-level committees, such as the Kuwait University Center of Excellence Board, SCPD Kuwait Chair for Knowledge, and Country Action Plan Follow-up Committee on Human Capital Development.

Prior to his current post, he was the Undersecretary of the Office of the Minister of State for Youth Affairs (2019-2021) and served as Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Kuwait University (2007-2019). He also served as the President of the Kuwait Football Association, appointed by FIFA in 2018.
